Sapori is located in Grape Bay Beach Hotel in Bermuda’s Paget parish. I think this restaurant is a good choice if you haven’t decided what kind of cuisine you like to try, or you are in a large group of diverse choice. That’s because Sapori serves almost all kinds of food that you will get in Bermuda.
The word Sapori means flavor. So when the owner Odeli Angeli opened the restaurant, he had flavors of diverse dishes in mind. In fact he said that "Fusion" is probably the best word to describe the cuisine at Sapori. Angeli, originally an Italian and married to a Bermudian woman, also owns two other well established restaurants in the island -
Primavera and
Rustico.
Sapori has an inside dining that can accommodate about 70 persons. There is also a pool side terrace that overlooks the ocean where you can dine alfresco. The terrace can accommodate about 30 persons. The ocean view is nice although not one of the greatest that you get in some of the other ocean-side restaurants in Bermuda.
The inside dinning room is air-conditioned and a good place to have your lunch during summer.
The restaurant serves daily lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch. You get varied dishes including fresh local fish, Sushi, spicy Thai curry and Italian dishes like the pasta and pizzas. They have a master Sushi chef from Singapore and a Thai chef from Dubai. The restaurant also has a well stocked bar.
Some of the popular starters include pepper seared salmon or the baked crab soufflé. For main courses, try out the pan fried fresh local fish served with shellfish sauce. For desserts, while there are ice creams of different flavors, try out the pudding with butterscotch sauce.
So, how much will you end up spending at Sapori? For a couple, it should cost about $100 that would include a starter, a main course and a mid-range bottle of wine.
Sapori accepts credit card. Dress code is smart casual. Reservation is recommended.
