Grand Bahama Tourism

The video provides an overview of Grand Bahama island and what can a tourist expect there. Freeport is the main city on the island. The cruise port located at the southwestern coast at the outskirts of Freeport is known as Freeport Harbor which has a number of shops, restaurants, bars and grills. The Grand Bahama International Airport is located in Freeport. Freeport is only about 80 miles to the east of Palm Beach (Florida). There are buses and taxis to get around. One can also rent a scooter or a car at the cruise port or airport. The video shows the lovely beaches along the southern coast of Grand Bahama. There are a host of watersport activities from several beaches such as the popular Lucaya beach, Taino beach etc. Port Lucaya is a southern suburb of Freeport and has a number of lovely beaches where the tourists flock to. Port Lucaya Marketplace is the main shopping hub. The Port Lucaya Marina is located behind the Marketplace. There are a number of attractions in Grand Bahama including Lucayan National Park, Garden of the Groves, Dolphin Center, great snorkelling and dive sites, etc. Adventure divers can do Tiger Shark diving at Tiger Beach in West End.
