Few of them are joined by bridges forming the mainland. There are regular flights from the US, UK and Canada. Flights from New York and Boston take under 2 hours. There are also regular round trip cruises from several ports in the US. You can easily get around the island using a public bus, ferry or taxi. You can also rent a scooter or an electric minicar. So, what can you see & do in Bermuda? Bermuda is known for its gorgeous pink sandy beaches. Horseshoe bay is repeatedly quoted as one of the top beaches in the world. There are stunning marine life and corals in Bermuda’s water. No wonder, the island is a magnet for snorkelers and scuba divers. And there are numerous underwater historic shipwrecks as well. You should take a sailing tour. Watch the sunset over the Atlantic as you sip a cocktail. Enjoy a sightseeing cruise on a motorized boat or Jet Ski, or rent a boat or a kayak to explore the waters. See a partially submerged shipwreck. If you are lucky, you can even see Bermuda’s beautiful longtail birds flying over the ocean. Watch the beautiful pastel houses along the coastline and their architecture. The grooved white limestone roofs are used to filter the rainwater which is stored in the underground reservoirs and used as drinking water. In March and April, humpback whales migrate through Bermuda’s waters. Watch these majestic creatures as you take a whale-watching cruise. Crystal and Fantasy caves are two underground wonders with stunning limestone formations. Gibbs Hill Lighthouse is one of the oldest cast-iron lighthouses in the world. Climb to the top and enjoy the views. Visit the Botanical Gardens that has numerous flowers, shrubs, trees and plantations. Camden House, Premier’s official residence is located here. There are also lovely nature trails and reserves on the island such as the Bermuda Railway Trail, Spittal Pond Nature Reserve etc.
