Tamarisk Dining Room Bermuda
$$$, International
Located inside
Cambridge Beaches Resorts and overlooking the Mangrove Bay, Tamarisk is a more formal restaurant and great dining option for a romantic dinner. With ceilings of wooden beams, walls with bright red hues, white table arrangements, and grand piano, the restaurant looks elegant and classy. It’s more like a sophisticated clubhouse where you come dressed up. Although the jackets and ties are no longer required for men, they expect you to come in elegant smart dress.
There is also an open terrace that overlooks the wonderful bay. There are sliding glasses that open out to the terrace where you can dine al fresco under the starry sky. Another great plus at the terrace dining is the dancing to the music. There is a live musical entertainment from April to October.

The chef focuses on the fresh ingredients including fish and seafood that are caught locally right at the bay, and vegetables and herbs grown on the property. The bar is well stocked and the wine selections are excellent. For lunch they serve nice fusion salads, focaccia, pita bread sandwiches and classic American cheeseburgers. Dinner is more formal and the menu changes frequently. There is a five course set dinner (they call it chef’s masterpiece) that includes appetizers and desserts.
For starters, try out watermelon salad with goat cheese, asparagus and pumpkin seeds, or black grouper carpaccio. Some of the good main courses include tandoori-marinated rack of lamb, shrimp cocktail, grilled Bermudian snapper, grilled lobster tail with drawn butter, veal ravioli with wild mushroom sauce, pan-seared sea scallops, tamarind-glazed mahi-mahi, and the duck breast roulade.
They accept credit cards. Reservation is required. Dress code is elegant casual (jackets suggested for men for inside dining, not required in the terrace).
