A ten minute walk from the Front Street of Hamilton city, Ten Cafe and Bar is a new setup in Bermuda serving nice and fresh home-brewed coffee. It's a cafe during the day time and becomes a wine bar in the evening. If you walk in at night, you will see a lot of locals relaxing at the bar area with their favorite drinks.
The ambience inside is quite warm and relaxing. Ten Cafe and Bar also offers salad, pastas, sandwiches, daily specials, home made desserts and Tapas. If you like cold coffee, try out the Caramel latté which is an iced coffee with caramel, whipped cream and chocolate syrup on top.
Out of the appetizers (available between 5 - 7pm), some of the great choices include the Asian spiced pork ribs with cucumber slaw, BBQ chicken kebabs, seared prawns with burnt orange, chili and crispy noodles, and flat bread pizza with oven dried tomatoes, basil pesto and goats cheese.
You can get wine by the glass or go for a cocktail prepared with fresh fruit and berries. There are other spirits, beers and drinks available as well. Ten Cafe and Bar serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a Saturday brunch. For breakfast, you will get all the standard stuff including Breakfast Panini (egg, sausage, cheese, mayonnaise), Pancakes (with whipped cream, maple syrup, fresh fruit ), and warm ham, egg and Swiss cheese bagel.
For lunch, try out some of sandwich variations like grilled chicken baguette, seared wahoo, lamb, or go for the daily Ten special Panini which is written on a huge black chalkboard. There are a quite a few salads and toppings that you can choose from.
For dinner, try out some of the tapas items - seared scallops with avocado and roasted pepper molé, lobster sausage prosciutto wrapped with pear salsa, mushroom and gorgonzola tart with grain mustard pesto, or BBQ chicken kebabs with potato salad.
There is a private dining room which can be reserved for a private occasion or a party. It has a patio as well and can accommodate up to 70 persons.
