Guided Nature Hike in Bermuda
This is a guided tour which includes a short boating cruise to the starting venue, followed by a scenic nature walk. The tour operates form the Royal Naval Dockyard at the western end where most cruise ships dock.
From here you will first take a short boat shuttle to a sheltered harbor in Somerset in Sandys parish. Along the way the guide will explain and give commentary about the places that you see from the water.
Once you reach the harbor in Somerset, you will be first given instructions about how the hike will take place. Usually it is an easy pace walk on relatively flat terrain. It's a group tour and takes into account the age of the various participants.
The guide will select the pace and the distance depending on the average age of the group so that everyone can enjoy the hike.
Usually the hike takes place for 1.5 to 2 miles and explores western section of the scenic and famous
Railway Trail. The guide will stop at various places and explain the background of the landmarks. You will pass by the historical
Fort Scaur, 17th century Mott Family Estate and many other great places including scenic landscapes and water areas.
Along the way you will also come across a range of interesting flora and fauna of Bermuda. The guide will of course tell you all about them if you are interested.

1) This is a group tour. The total tour duration is about 3.5 hours. The tour leaves daily from Island Tour Center located adjacent to the Dockyard Watersports Center.
2) Indicative Tour Cost: $55/- per person, $40 per child (5 - 12 years).
3) Tour includes a professional guide, boat cruise with narrated commentary, complimentary soft drinks etc. You should carry your own towel and wear comfortable shoes and clothes.
